Wasn't someone on this board looking for a pair of these?

$332............ ouch! Hope for those in need that this seller didn't base his reserve on that result.
But maybe for the guy that doesn't have the technical prowess to build his own, or the purist looking to complete a restoration, that's still a reasonable price.
Ebay prices fluctuate dramatically, persistent searching will usually net you the part you seek at a "reasonable to you" price, eventually.
I recently received a single 511b and non working 802-8G driver that i won at 89 bucks! A week before that, i saw a single 511b, no driver, sell at 104 bucks and a day later a non working 802-8g bring 86 bucks. I was just looking for the cover from the driver.
For the sake of avoiding flying bullets here, i'll state right now that mod 19 XO's are definitely a rarer bird than either the 511b horn or 802 driver. But, they're still out there and the persistent shopper will eventually find them, at a price he can justify.

These are also described as 1201-8A. I thought Todd maintains that Model 19 XO's are not the same as 1201-8A? So are original XO's with the Model 19 label different from other 1201-8A's or the schematic for the 1201-8A.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I think Todd is correct. I suspect the error is on the part of the Ebay seller.
AFAIK they are different animals.
Note there is no 1201-8A on the crossovers, only in the sellers description.

Probably a few or more who would like to have them, me included, but at what price?
Been watching Altec for the past couple years and right now appears to be the highest prices I have seen so far.
Also been watching these prices get alot of closet doors open so the goods are flooding the market.
I know for some here cost is not an issue but for others it is and I am hoping things settle down in the future.
The last set I watched fetched $332 and still needed new caps. I am very happy for the fellow who got them but for those numbers I was just a spectator and will remain so.

Will I hear a significant diff using 1201-8A's instead of an original Mod 19 XO? Or is it more of a "golden ear" difference? My 47 yr old ears ain't as good as they used to be but I still enjoy great sounding speakers. My gut tells me the difference is minor only really discernable during testing or critical listening. Am I right?

They are different in components but are they different (significantly) in sound?
RonSS, thank you in advance for posting the differences. If a schematic of the Model 19 XO could be put together it would be a wonderful thing.

Here we go again with a question that beggs an answer.
The 1201-8A and the Model 19 XOs are considered by many to be one in the same. On the other hand there seems to be some doubt by many others.
I know on the site by Jeff Markwalt- Please forgive my spelling here, Jim Eisley uses the term Model 19, 1201-8A XOs and shows just one schematic.
So what is the real deal? Is the model 19 XO = to the 1201-8A in every way or not?
